KWV SUPERIOR 5 YR BRANDY

A blend of pot still brandy, matured in oak barrels for five years, and unmatured wine spirits, bottled at 43% alcohol by volume. KWV 5 Year Old contains a deep gold color with ripe pineapple, pear, and raisin flavors. Enhanced by a mild toasted oak aroma, KWV 5 Year Old is medium-bodied, with a lingering mellow, fruity aftertaste. Classic nose, good balance of figgy-leafy fruit and freshness with hints of nutmeg and sandalwood. Fairly restrained on the palate, but releases its fruit and toastier/caramel characters in good order across the palate. Finish is subtle but decent length.
